The Chris Stoikos Memorial Golf Tournament is dedicated to providing a memorable experience for its players, sponsors and volunteers while contributing 100% of the net proceeds to the Fight Against ALS. All efforts and donations are made in memory of Chris Stoikos, a loving father, husband and friend who left us too soon.
The 22nd Annual Chris Stoikos Memorial Fight Against ALS Golf Tournament will be held on Wednesday July 6, 2011, at Angus Glen Golf & C.C. This years tournament will be held on the North Course. We welcome back all our players, sponsors and volunteers and look forward to having some new faces as well.
Last year through the tremendous generosity and kindness of so many people, the tournament was able to raise more than $40,000, bringing the 21 year total to over $275,000 (click here to see pictures from the 21st Annual). All proceeds raised go to ALS TDI, Sunnybrook Health Sciences (Dr. Lorne Zinman) and ALS Ontario. Our event
continues to receive the personal endorsement of golfing legend Tom Watson, whose longtime caddy and friend Bruce Edwards sadly passed away from ALS 7 years ago. Tom's tireless efforts in memory of Bruce are immeasurable. Our cause is very fortunate to have someone of Mr. Watson's stature working on our behalf.
